Vitec Group acquires Microwave Service Corp.

The Vitec Group, based in Surrey, UK, has completed its previously stated desire to acquire the assets of Microwave Service Corp. (MSC), a provider of microwave equipment and maintenance services. Vitec now offers a wide variety of products and services that meet any microwave need, from single systems to extensive networks.

MSC joins RF Central and Nucomm, both suppliers of digital and analog microwave equipment, as part of the group’s newly formed RF Systems business unit. With the creation of Vitec Group RF Systems, the companies can now share resources and technology. This will enable it to quickly supply products and installation services to broadcasters that have to replace their legacy analog systems as part of the ongoing Broadcast Auxiliary Spectrum (BAS) relocation project.

Warren Parece, who will continue to lead the company as president, founded MSC. Joining the Vitec Group RF Systems division, he said, will enhance his company’s presence and expand product availability.
