Wegener wins $1.4 million order for Unity 552

Wegener has received orders totaling more than $1.4 million from one of its largest customers for the new Unity 552 enterprise media receiver.

The Unity 552 has bandwidth-efficient MPEG-4/H.264 video coding for both SD and HD video, digital and analog outputs and advanced DVB-S2 demodulation.

Network operators can achieve 40 percent to 70 percent greater signal compression using MPEG-4/H.264 video compression and DVB-S2 modulation compared to the using current MPEG-2 compression and DVB-S satellite modulation.
