Delivery on MEASAT-3 HD neighborhood ensures maximum viewers across the region
PARIS and HONG KONG -- Oct. 25, 2012 -- ITV Granada, part of ITV STUDIOS Global Entertainment (ITVS GE), has called on GlobeCast to handle workflow management and playout as well as delivery services -- including international fiber and satellite uplink -- to support the launch of its HD channel across Asia and the Middle East. The channel is delivered via the MEASAT-3 satellite HD neighborhood.
The content management and delivery company is ITV Granada's broadcast partner, providing a collaborative ecosystem to manage a complex content preparation workflow, bridging company and organizational boundaries to improve channel quality of service and reduce operating costs. The GlobeCast solution enables ITVS GE teams in London and in Hong Kong, GlobeCast teams, and third party specialist providers to understand the tasks and priorities and seamlessly and securely access the material needed to complete their work.
Fully-managed HD playout from GlobeCast allows ITVS GE to focus on its audience, channel content, and affiliate distribution deals without having to manage day-to-day technical operations.
Finally, GlobeCast is providing transport and uplink of the channel signal to the MEASAT-3 HD video distribution platform at 91.5ºE, a key neighborhood for distribution across Asia and the Middle East.
