Thomson announces Grass Valley Ignite HD

Thomson Grass Valley has unveiled the new Grass Valley Ignite HD integrated production system with its CameraMan HD robotic camera system and controller.
The new Ignite HD platform offers a fully automated, digital, high-definition control-room solution. It allows broadcasters and video production studios to migrate from standard-definition to HD production, leveraging Grass Valley’s new Kayak HD compact video production switcher frame.
The new Ignite HD system features a modular and scalable architecture. With specific options tailored to applications and markets of all sizes, the Ignite HD platform is available with 1- to 4M/Es, up to 32 control ports and is scalable from 24 to 93 video inputs and 24 to 96 audio inputs. It offers an integrated video switcher, audio mixer, and teleprompter that simplifies production and allows a single operator to run an entire newscast. It also comes standard with the Grass Valley QUICbox programmable tactile-interface panel.
The Ignite HD system can be purchased with the fully integrated CameraMan HD robotic camera system and accompanying SHOT Director HD robotic camera controller.
