Mobile production facility provider All Mobile Video is jumping into 3-D in a big way with the rollout of a new HD production truck equipped to provide 3-D entertainment and sports production capabilities.

The vehicle, which is being patterned on All Mobile Video’s 66ft Titan HD triple-expando layout, is scheduled to make its first public appearance in Las Vegas at the NAB Show.

According to All Mobile Video President Eric Duke, the need for 3-D mobile production capabilities is in its early stages, but as with HD, he plans to position his company to be on the cutting-edge of 3-D as it transitions to a more mainstream production requirement.

In this podcast interview, Duke discusses the demand for live 3-D production, the unresolved technology questions that must be answered for the truck to make its NAB debut and where he thinks 3-D is headed.
