European HDTV provider Alfacam and Euro1080, a member of the Alfacam Group, installed Vizrt graphics software in the HD OB vehicles of both for use at the recently completed Summer Games.

Alfacam purchased a pair of Viz Trio character generator systems, which were used in two Alfacam OB trucks. Viz Trio offers real-time 2-D and 3-D character generation and allows an operator to create context-enabled graphics, which is useful in sports production.

In addition to basic CG functionality, Viz Trio offers a set of advanced features. It also supports connectivity to multiple newsroom systems, seamless context switching on graphics, Look-Ahead Transition Logic, multiple clients controlling a single output channel and integration with nonlinear editing systems.
