At IBC2008, Ardis Technologies will unveil DynamicDrivePool, acapability for its RAID-based storage system to allow project and file-level sharing between Avid systems, including Nitris, at high bandwidths using standard Ethernet.
DynamicDrivePool provides users with simultaneous read and write access to the same drive/volume. The system also offers a file locking and delete protection mechanism.
Because it uses special iSCSI (SCSI over Ethernet) technology, the bandwidth of DynamicDrivePool is more then three times higher than an NAS-based system.
