ARRI unveils accessories for handheld HD camcorders

The new MMB-1 from ARRI can be supported by 15mm lightweight support rods or clamped directly onto the camera lens.
ARRI has expanded its line of professional camera accessories for smaller handheld HD cameras including the Sony EX-1, Sony EX-3 and Panasonic HVX200.
The new line includes:
- Mattebox MMB-1, designed for smaller HD camera bodies, has a side-loaded 4.565in two-stage design with the rear stage fully rotatable and lockable. It can be supported by 15mm lightweight support rods or clamped directly onto the camera lens.
- Follow Focus MFF-1, a lightweight, single-sided fully adjustable follow focus, can be mounted to any camera system with 15mm lightweight support rods. It can also be supported from 15mm or 19mm bridgeplates using standard adapters. The unit incorporates a plunger mechanism that engages adjustable, hard stops for lenses with infinite rotation.
- Baseplate MBP-1, designed especially for handheld HD camcorders with smaller profiles, incorporates a vertically and horizontally adjustable centering mechanism to compensate for variations in camera base to optical axis measurements.
