Australian Broadcasting launches new morning show with help from Ignite HD

Inside Australian Broadcasting’s new control room for “ABC News Breakfast,” the network is relying on a Grass Valley Ignite HD system.
Australian Broadcasting (ABC) is using a Thomson Grass Valley Ignite HD integrated production system to produce its new three-hour live morning news and information show, “ABC News Breakfast.”
The new program is delivered from a new automated studio control room, equipped with a Grass Valley Ignite HD system. It includes an HDC robotic camera system remotely controlled by an Ignite SHOT Director, a Kayak HD production switcher and a Yamaha digital audio console.
The Melbourne-based “ABC News Breakfast” makes extensive use of studio interviews and interviews with newsmakers from around Australia and the world. The show often switches live to ABC newsrooms around the country and correspondents overseas.
