Crawford has been working closely with the NFL Network to identify, organize, integrate and store nearly 5000 hours of program material for broadcast.

The NFL Network has chosen Crawford Satellite Services, a division of Crawford Communications, to provide a variety of HD and SD origination, playout and monitoring services as well as on-site satellite uplink truck support for live game coverage.

Crawford has been working closely with the NFL Network to identify, organize, integrate and store nearly 5000 hours of program material for broadcast. Crawford’s transportable fleet on location is providing transmission and HD encoding for eight Thursday night NFL games, several college bowls and the Scouting Combine coming up in February.

Glenn Adamo, VP of media operations for the network, said Crawford’s master control origination services help the network distribute football-related content to fans 365 days a year to more than 240 cable systems, DIRECTV, DISH Network and telephone company video providers AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS.

By the end of the year, the NFL Network will have televised 200 football games: eight regular-season prime-time NFL games; 54 preseason games; 96 game re-airs; the Super Bowl and “NFL Classic Games” as well as the Insight Bowl, Texas Bowl and Senior Bowl. This is in addition to various other NFL content.
