Eyeheight to introduce CW-2M logo, ticker generator

Jul 22, 2009 3:08 PM

Eyeheight will introduce the CW-2M HD/SD logo and ticker generator with integral keyer at IBC2009.

The CW-2M supports animated and static graphics as well as a line of crawling text, such as breaking news, to be added to any part of a TV image.

Fully compatible with 1080i/1080p/720p HD or 575i/480i SD environments, the CW-2M includes a dual-channel logo inserter that can be used to impose a background image or strap over live video. Text can then be inserted into the strap together with a separate logo. An integral cross-point keyer allows sources to be assigned to any of four layers. Individual and mixed fonts can be loaded into the CW-2M while on-air.

Eyeheight's netCrawler software is bundled with the CW-2M. It can be used to configure fonts and color settings and to preview the ticker text.

See Eyeheight at IBC2009 in Stand 2.C48.

Along with the benefits, come a number of challenges. One of the biggest challenges is a mechanism to recover lost data in real-time. This paper will attempt to shed some light on the inner workings of the real-time data recovery mechanism: Pro-MPEG Code of Practice #3 Forward Error Correction (CoP#3 FEC). Read Now
