Video Equipment Rentals (VER) has selected a full array of IDX ENDURA camera batteries and chargers to provide on-camera power for two editions of the CBS “Survivor” series.  This includes the current season, “Survivor: Gabon,” which began airing on Sept. 25. VER supplies all camera and camera-related equipment for the long-running CBS reality program, which is produced by Mark Burnett Productions.

VER selected multiple IDX ENDURA Lithium Ion E-10 batteries, with a typical run time of 3.25 hours, and IDX VL-4S four-channel quick chargers, for “Survivor.” The show is typically a multicamera shoot featuring remote locations where portable power is virtually the only power source during production.

VER is a major equipment rental facility, with offices throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

The ENDURA E-10 battery has a capacity of 98Wh. It features an accurate five-LED power status display and supports Digi-View and i-Trax Battery Management System. Using PowerLink, IDX’s battery linking solution, two batteries mounted seamlessly together allows doubling capacity up to 196Wh or over six hours of continuous power.

The VL-4S quick charge unit charges all ENDURA and NP-L type Li-ion Batteries. It features an LCD display to monitor batteries’ data and direct PC interface using a USB cable.
