New York’s Fox station uses Chyron HD graphics

The Chyron HyperX2 system provides journalists and producers with an easy-to-use interface to create, preview and publish sophisticated graphics.
WNYW, the Fox affiliate in New York City (and the flagship of the Fox Television Stations Group) has installed three HyperX2 HD graphics systems from Chyron for use in its live local HD newscasts.
In addition, a Chyron CAMIO cluster — a fully redundant server system — provides journalists and producers with an easy-to-use interface to create, preview and publish sophisticated graphics for playback.
WNYW also installed the company’s WAPSTR multimedia messaging gateway, which, as a plug-in to the CAMIO system, allows mobile phone pictures and videos to be uploaded directly from the field into a newsroom system.
With the new Chyron technology now online, the station has enhanced its on-air look, as well as its in-house mobile image ingest capabilities.
