Quantel will not attend the NAB Show in April, saying it could not justify the $1 million expense given the current economic climate, the company has announced.
The company will continue the road shows it has conducted worldwide during the past year, which offer attendees greater convenience and attention, said Quantel CEO Ray Cross.
According to Cross, the company is focusing its efforts on research and development that will help it deliver products for its customers. Work is progressing on new developments like support for the RED workflow, stereoscopic 3-D and other projects. “This year delivery, not marketing, comes first,” he said.
