Walking into a the Broadcast Microwave Services’ booth at IBC2008, I stumbled across a small two-way COFDM diversity receiver with two antennas attached that I somehow missed at NAB2008.

The receiver/antenna system plugs into a laptop USB port and can give field crews a handy way to let roaming camera operators know when they are at the edge of reception.

This week’s Sound Off is an audio podcast recorded at the BMS booth with BMS Europe Managing Director Rainer Horn about this little gem.
