Aspiring filmmaker shoots award-winning documentary with ProHD camcorder

Young aspiring filmmaker Andy Blum shot “ColorBlind,” a 30-minute documentary for his high school, with the JVC ProHD HD100 camcorder.

The documentary examines Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through interviews with teenagers of all races, leading historians and elected officials. The film won the Best Documentary and Audience Choice awards at the 2006 Strictly Students Film Festival, and was a finalist at the Long Island Film Festival and the Boston International Film Festival.

Blum, a high school senior, plans to enroll in film school after graduation.
