May 19, 2008 10:47 AM
One of the stations to be upgraded by Burst is KUID-TV, which is located on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, ID, and serves the northern part of the state.
Idaho Public Television (IdahoPTV) has chosen Denver-based integrator Burst to upgrade the production control rooms at KUID-TV and KISU-TV. The project will begin this summer.
Burst will acquire the equipment and install it at two separate university campus environments: KUID-TV is located on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, ID, and serves northern Idaho, and KISU-TV is located at Idaho State University in Pocatello, and serves eastern Idaho, including Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and the surrounding area.
The new HD digital control rooms are the first phase of a multiyear project that will impact equipment and facilities statewide; including field and editing, studio production facilities, Internet-related content and delivery, transmitters and repeaters, and network operations center upgrades relating to the federal mandate and public trust for digital television.
Idaho Public Television offers national and Idaho-produced programming from five transmitters and 37 translators.
