DP Mulligan expects digital cinematography advancements at IBC2009

Dan Mulligan, director of photography at Rogue Element Films in the UK, will have his eye set on the latest developments in technology used in the production of digital cinematography at IBC2009.

Mulligan, one of the first in Europe to purchase a Sony F35 camera more than a year ago, says the international gathering provides a good forum to witness firsthand leading-edge technological developments and to share insights with likeminded people.

With 3-D stereoscopic production on the rise, Mulligan also will devote time at IBC2009 to investigating 3-D and how best to proceed.

I spoke with Mulligan about digital cinematography, some of the projects that he’s most recently been involved with and what he hopes to accomplish at IBC2009.
