EVS unveils XT[2] server-Sony production switcher interface

At IBC2007, EVS highlighted a new interface with EVS XT[2] servers that gives Sony MVS-8000G production switcher users control over stored footage within a fast-moving, live production environment.

Operators of the switcher can instantly see the complete library of clips stored on the server and recall, cue and play the clips as required from the switcher control menu. Actions can then be automated for repeated use throughout the production at the touch of a button.

This high-level integration with EVS servers comes when the demand for animation elements and replays, particularly in sports productions, is growing rapidly. This makes rapid, repeatable manipulation of source material all the more important.
