Independent filmmaker relies on Panasonic's AG-DVX100A camcorder for theatrical feature

Panasonic AG-DVX100A cameras feature CineSwitch technology that supports 480i/60 (NTSC), cinema-style 480p/24fps and 480p/30fps image capture.

Filmmaker Pepi Singh Khara used Panasonic AG-DVX100A cameras to capture his second feature film “The Inn.”

Principal photography for the Hitchcock-inspired thriller was shot with the camcorders over a span of two weeks in early 2004 at The Inn in Buckeystown, MD.

The film was edited with Adobe Premiere 6.0. According to the filmmaker, the footage was edited without making frame rate adjustments. He said the film had a cinematic look, because of the camera's light sensitivity and the experience of the film's lighting director. The AG-DVX100A is a MiniDV 3-CCD camcorder with CineSwitch technology that supports 480i/60 (NTSC), cinema-style 480p/24fps and 480p/30fps image capture.
