Gefen has introduced the new ex-tend-it HDMI-1000 HD transmitter/receiver which sends HD video up to 300 ft from a source to an HDTV. The HDMI-1000 HD supports HD resolutions up to 1080p (1920x1200 for computers).

The new product is equipped with high definition multimedia interface (HDMI) connectors. When paired with a small adapter, it can be used with sources and displays that use digital visual interface (DVI) connectors.

Multimode LC fiber optic cables connect a sender unit at the source to a receiver at the display end. An external power supply, which can be connected at either end, feeds the system.
