Genesis Networks and SmartJog have announced a new cooperative solution for delivery of live feeds, as well as prerecorded video content, over a global fiber-optic infrastructure.

The joint solution provides broadcasters with a single source from which to access all of the live and recorded content needed to produce and deliver a wide variety of television programming.

Genesis, a provider of point-to-point broadcasting, offers an alternative to satellite for live transmissions. SmartJog is a provider of global distribution and digital file transfer services for the media and entertainment industries, providing a secure on-demand service for delivery of any type or format of prerecorded video content. Working together, Genesis Networks and SmartJog provide a single-source solution that includes built-in redundancy offered by the combined networks.
