Sweetwater Digital Productions’ new Cobalt HD production vehicle

Sweetwater Digital Productions’ new Cobalt HD production vehicle relies on an extensive list of Gepco cables, including VDM230 miniature HD coax.

Sweetwater Digital Productions’ new 53ft expando HD truck is using Gepco cables for both its audio and video needs.

Dubbed Cobalt, the vehicle is the second HD production truck in the company’s fleet.

The list of cables Gepco supplied for the truck includes: VDM230 miniature HD coax, VPM2000 RG59 HD digital coax, VS5230 video snake, DS4 and DS6 series digital audio multipair cables and GA724 series multipair audio cables. In addition to cable, Gepco also supplied connectors from Kings, Calrad, Canare and AIM for both the audio and video connectivity.

Gepco also provided all of the hybrid connectivity for the truck with GHF92A hybrid fiber SMPTE camera cables. These cables are being used as interconnectivity solutions for the truck’s Sony HDC1500L HD cameras. Additional audio and video equipment installed in Cobalt includes a Thomson Grass Valley Kalypso Duo switcher and a Studer Vista 8 audio console.
