Graham-Patten introduces auto-sensing audio de-embedders

Graham-Patten Systems has added two new SoundPals — the ASDM-4 and ASDM-8 auto-sensing de-embedders — which offer a versatile way to ingest various TV standards and de-embed up to eight channels of analog or four AES pairs of audio.

The new units auto-sense the video format (HD-SDI or SDI) applied to the looping input. A headphone output lets the user select and monitor stereo channels from any group.

The new models are housed in SoundPal 5.25in x 1.625in x 6.625in extruded aluminum packages. Active looping HD/SDI inputs allow units to be stacked so that up to 16 channels of audio can be made available. The ASDM-8 has all eight analog outputs on Phoenix connectors for ease of installation. In the ASDM-4, all four AES3 outputs (two channels each) are available on Phoenix connectors at the rear of the unit, with four AES3id (BNC) outputs simultaneously available.
