HDNet turns to Leitch X75 HD multi-converter for HD Discovery coverage

HDNet used Leitch Technology's X75 HD multiple path converter/synchronizers for its North American HD telecast of the Space Shuttle Discovery launch last week.

The X75HDs were on-site at Kennedy Space Center, where HDNet is providing complete, launch-to-landing coverage of NASA's Return to Flight in HD.

The X75HD combines up-, down-, and cross-conversion, HD frame sync and comprehensive video and audio processing capabilities in a 1RU package.

Video processing features of the X75HD include simultaneous up-conversion and down-conversion with aspect ratio conversion for hybrid SD and HD facilities; level/color proc amp control; optional 3-D adaptive color decoding with time base correction and optional noise reduction.
