Independent Feature Project recognizes aspiring filmmakers

Panasonic Broadcast collaborated with the Independent Feature Project (IFP) and Abel Cine Tech to award Panasonic Digital Filmmaker Grants to eight emerging filmmakers at the IFP Market Awards Luncheon in Manhattan on Sept. 20, 2007.

Five of the grant winners, including Frederic Colier for "M&N," Eric Lane for "Murnur," Nena Eskridge for "Stray," Phillipp Wolter for "The State of Being" and Sean Patrick McCarthy for "Mohammed and Mary," each received AG-HPX500 P2 HD camera rentals valued at $6500, courtesy of Panasonic and Abel Cine Tech.

The three Grand Prize grant winners included Jennifer Sharp for “Native Honkeys” and Paola Mendoza and Gloria La Morte for “We Can” and for “Zeros and Ones.” Each received a full camera and equipment rental package valued at $8000, which includes an AG-HPX500 P2 HD camcorder, Fujinon lens, four 16GB P2 cards and an AG-HPG10 P2 Gear.
