MultiDyne fiber links transport HD for Super Bowl XLII

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems said last week that rental partner CP Communications of Elmsford, NY, provided the MultiDyne HD-1500 HD-SDI fiber links for the Super Bowl XLII halftime show.

FOX Sports required transport of HD-SDI signals via fiber between the halftime production trucks and FOX Network trucks. The on-air and HD camera feeds of the halftime show were sent via the MultiDyne HD-1500 HD-SDI fiber link, as were the signals from the halftime production truck back into the stadium. HD-1500 units were also used to light up the halftime LED curtains and the house Jumbotrons in the stadium.

The HD-1500 Series of 5Gb/s-1.485Gb/s serial digital video fiber-optic transport links is designed to ease the engineering and financial difficulties associated with the migration to digital and HD television.
