Multimedia Polska has selected TANDBERG Television’s HD and SD MPEG-4 AVC encoding solutions and IP EdgeQAM modulators for the introduction of its digital cable HD services.
Multimedia Polska has more than 575,000 customers and is one of the leading Polish providers of triple-play services, combining cable television, broadband Internet and fixed-line telephony in a single package. The new HDTV service has been launched with two-way capability, allowing Multimedia Polska to offer additional interactive services in the future.
TANDBERG is providing the broadcaster with the EN8090 MPEG-4 AVC SD and EN8030 MPEG-4 AVC HD/SD broadcast encoders, as well as its high density EdgeQAM solution for remote modulations of IP streams.
