Qatar sports channel mobile studio includes Indigo Mixer, Turbo iDDR server

Middle Eastern systems integrator Tek Signals has built a mobile production studio system for Qatar-based Al-Kass & Al-Dawri sports channel using the Thomson Grass Valley Indigo AV mixer and Turbo Intelligent Digital Disk recorder (iDDR) from Thomson.

The new mobile production studio system is built into a rack as a complete drive-away production center. As well as the Indigo AV mixer and Turbo iDDR, the kit also includes interface products from Thomson to provide a complete studio in a rack. The system is used to locally produce major sports events and other stadium events across the region.

The Indigo mixer combines a video switcher with 3-D DVE, layering and color correction with an audio mixer in a single unit. Video I/O is SD, HD and computer resolutions. The Turbo iDDR is a compact video server offering two outputs and one input simultaneously, with I/O via computer interfaces as well as SD and HD video.
