Quincy TV stations upgrade to DTV with Harris

Two stations owned by Quincy Newspapers have upgraded their plants to digital with equipment from Harris. WXOW-TV (and its DTV subchannel WXOW-TV) in La Crosse, WI, and WQOW-TV (and its DTV subchannel WQOW-TV) in Eau Claire, WI, have each installed a server-based master control and production room made up of a variety of Harris digital broadcast solutions. The production rooms will be completed next month.

The control room build-out includes Harris NX4000TXS transmission servers, Integrator Gold wideband digital multirate routers, Panacea small routers, a variety of 6800+ and NEO signal processing modules (under the control of the CCS Pilot software application) and the NUCLEUS network control panel.

Harris also provided complete integration of all the major system components under the CCS Pilot software control and developed an easy upgrade path for future HD operations.
