SMPTE conference to feature DTV audio presentation

Tim Carroll, founder and president of Linear Acoustic, will present "Digital TV Audio: What Needs to Be Done to Really Make It Work" during the SMPTE Technical Conference and Exhibition.

Carroll's presentation is part of "Audio Advancements in the Age of Digital Media," scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26, from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m.

The SMPTE session will explore current challenges and advancements in audio for digital media, television and cinema. Carroll's presentation will focus on the practical considerations in working effectively with DTV audio in a broadcast environment characterized by multiple channels, multiple formats and multiple standards.
