Turner turns to Videotek for HD test and measurement

Videotek’s VTM-450E HD/SD device monitors all HD transmissions, as well as Dolby Digital and Dolby E audio streams, at TBS, in Atlanta.

Turner Broadcasting System's new HD facilities in Atlanta have implemented Videotek’s VTM-450E HD/SD multiformat on-screen monitors as the measurement reference for high-definition quality assurance.

The VTM-450E HD/SD test instrument provides manual and automated testing of HD and SD serial digital video signals. Waveform, vector, eye pattern, picture, gamut, analog/digital relative timing, audio, metadata and alarm settings and status displays are provided with automatic features that notify operators of signal quality errors immediately.

The instrument's extensive logging capabilities offer operators the ability to maintain all measurement information gathered from a source or project for future evaluation.

Videotek is a division of Leitch Technology.
