More than 300 guests were on hand in the London neighborhood of Soho last month to celebrate the official launch of VMI’s new HD facility, VMI High Definition and Broadcast.
One highlight of the Nov. 15 affair was a rolling collage of recent VMI HD work on music videos, documentaries and feature projects. Projected with a JVC DLA-HD2K projector, the footage gave guests an opportunity to view HD up close and personal.
According to VMI managing director Barry Bassett, the images produced by the HD2K were “breathtaking.” Complementing the HD display were the JVC 42in GD-V422 PCE and the 52in GM-X50E HD plasma monitors.
