At NAB2007 (booth # N3231), Volicon will show HD capability within its Observer signal monitoring systems. The new Observer-HD offers 30-day HD signal logging and monitoring capabilities for two or four channels and features Dolby 5.1 sound capability.
Like the standard Observer, the new Observer-HD supports large numbers of simultaneous users, with 24/7 access to live and archived HD content from the desktop using a Microsoft Internet Explorer-compatible interface. Broadcasters can record, store, search, retrieve and view HD material in real time from multiple broadcast sources and from any desktop within the broadcast facility. Users can also export any HD content outside the facility via Volicon's proprietary streaming media engine.
Also at the show, Volicon will unveil four new modules to the Observer to further streamline the workflow in TV station marketing and operations departments.
There's an enhanced search engine module, quality control monitoring module, ad verification and video affidavit module, and a centralized monitoring and viewing module.
