VOOM adds HD events to WorldSport HD lineup

VOOM, the HD satellite programming service, has added Euroleague Basketball and the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships to its high-definition offerings.

The HD service announced Dec. 21 that it had secured the exclusive U.S. HD rights for the additions to its WorldSport HD channel.

Coverage of the 2004-2005 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships began Dec. 25 with the live broadcast match between the United States and Russia.

The Euroleague Game of the Week begins this month and will run through the Final Four in Moscow May 6 – May 8.
