360 Systems releases Image Server Maxx

360 Systems introduced its new Image Server Maxx high-performance video server that provides advanced features aimed at advanced Pro AV users. New standard features include faster FTP transfers with other servers, NLEs and network-attached storage, embedded audio, remote workstation interface software and greater file compatibility with MXF and IMX file formats.

The Maxx server provides higher speed and greater compatibility for file-based workflows, while maintaining traditional video connectivity through composite analog and digital SDI base-band I/O ports. Additionally, an input frame-synchronizer allows "wild" sources from tape or satellite to be recorded. Time-stamping provides accurate as-run logs for reconciliation of playlists. An internal RAID array provides Maxx servers with up to 170 hours storage.
