NEC Unified bundles flat-panel display controller with Scala software

NEC Unified Solutions has bundled Scala’s InfoChannel 3 Player software into the BlueFireVC controller for networked flat panel displays. The controller is based on a 3GHz hyperthreaded Pentium 4 processor with an 80GB hard drive and an integrated graphics subsystem from ATI.
The BlueFireVC is pre-configured with the Scala software as well as Microsoft’s Windows XP embedded operating system. Each networked screen is IP addressable via the controller.
