Nickelodeon UK has selected Front Porch Digital to implement its Distributed Intelligent Versatile Archive in the network’s playout facility.

DIVArchive is a software middleware that enables interoperability between large digital media storage devices, video servers, editing systems and digital media workflow applications. It facilitates the process of preserving, managing and accessing content.

The new DIVArchive system will manage a 17TB online disk array storage disk. It connects to Pinnacle’s MediaStream 8000 video servers for ingest and playout under the control of a Harris automation system via VACP.
