Digital Vision, Vistek announce joint development and OEM agreement

Digital Vision and Vistek have signed an agreement to develop a motion-compensated HDTV standards converter. The companies have also signed an OEM agreement whereby Vistek will manufacture and sell the finalized product through its distribution channels.

The system will utilize a combination of Digital Vision’s PHAME motion estimation algorithm with Vistek’s video format conversion technology and is targeted toward broadcast sports events and news applications.
