Opticomm releases fiber optic video/audio/data transmission platform

Jul 18, 2005 3:36 PM, Transition to Digital e-newsletter

Opticomm has unveiled its Optiva fiber optic video/audio/data transmission platform. The platform allows users to design and build a fiber optic system online and receive a system design and system quotation on the spot.

A visit to the product configurator at www.opticomm.com allows engineers and system designers to select the exact video, audio and data signals for transport, the optics and connectors needed, and the most suitable chassis. The proposed system is then designed automatically, with the user receiving an automatically generated quotation with a diagram of the system.

Opticomm has also released its OptiLinx Optical Switch, a complement to the Optiva platform for any multicasting and switching application for complete optical transparency.
