Sundance Digital’s FastBreak automation system is helping WSAW-TV make a smooth transition into an upgraded master control.
The CBS affiliate, located in Wausau, WI, installed a two-channel FastBreak system at the heart of the facility’s digital rebuild to control playout of the station’s syndicated, network and locally originated programming. The station, owned by Gray Television, is scheduled to take the new control center to air in April.
FastBreak will operate an Omneon SPECTRUM server, Nvision master control switcher, Panasonic DVCPRO tape machines, and a network of smaller routers. The configuration is capable of switching WSAW’s HD feed between locally up-converted and network material received from CBS.
