Miranda’s Kaleido-X processor feeds 32 signals to six 42in LCD monitors for Canal 7’s production monitoring.
Argentina’s Canal 7 has installed a Kaleido-X multi-image display processor from Miranda Technologies as part of a digital upgrade to its monitoring and control center in Buenos Aires.
The new Kaleido-X processor feeds 32 signals to six 42in LCD monitors, used for production monitoring. Canal 7 produces its own content, including live programming, from six studios and numerous local newsrooms. Currently, Canal 7 has 60 of Miranda’s multi-image systems.
Kaleido-X allows multiple displays across multiple rooms to be independently controlled, using either a remote panel or an on-screen mouse action. The monitoring layouts can be quickly reconfigured for different productions, with full flexibility over window positioning and sizing. The system’s XEdit multiroom layout editor simplifies the sharing and presentation of centralized sources across multiple areas controlled by multiple operators.
The processor has multiple points of redundancy and no single point of failure for reliable 24/7 operation. The frame uses front-loading, hot-swappable modules and power supplies. All modules are independent, and no single module can cause the system to fail.
