Harris Velocity NX integrates with Dixon Sports clip management tools

Velocity is an editor optimized for multilayer effects that runs and shares content on the Harris NEXIO storage area network.
Harris has integrated its Velocity NX promo editor with video clip management tools from Dixon Sports Computing.
The integration was shown as part of a series of new broadcast workflow solutions at the recent Broadcast Asia 2007 exhibition in Singapore.
The Dixon integration was part of a larger display of Harris’ NewsForce, a complete, file-based newsroom solution built upon the NEXIO XS server platform, which includes three new Harris editors optimized for fast cutting, voicing and airing of program segments.
Harris said the integrated Dixon solution enabled the creation of high production-value HD/SD highlight packages in live sports broadcast environments.
