MOG Solutions, specialist in MXF software toolkits, has released its latest product, the Toboggan MediaTransfer, an automated solution to support media ingest devices in order to bring MXF media into Avid editing environments.
Toboggan MediaTransfer allows users to automatically move their MXF media (audio, video, and metadata) seamlessly into a production workflow based around Avid nonlinear editing systems. This includes Avid’s Media Composer, NewsCutter, Symphony Nitris, Unity ISIS, and Unity MediaNetwork and LANShare shared storage systems.
The application is designed to work in both Workgroups 4 (MediaManager) and Workgroups 5 (Interplay) environments. Toboggan MediaTransfer can run on a standalone or workgroups configuration.
Key features include one-touch ingest operation; background ingest of media files; support for MXF SD and HD devices (such as the Grass Valley Infinity, Ikegami EditCam, Panasonic P2 and Sony XDCAM cameras); hot-folder and hot-swap modes; and an intuitive GUI for remote and local control.
