The DNF 4040CL enables the fast loading of single clips and a variety of combinations.
TVG, a public television broadcaster in Galicia, Spain, is using the 4040CL Fast Access Clip Controller from DNF Controls to streamline its workflow and make clips immediately accessible.
DNF Controls' 4040CL controller allows users at TVG to recall and play back video clips quickly by simply selecting the desired clip from the clip list and pressing "load." The controller allows fast access to single clips and fill-clip/key-clip combinations programmed into 400 cue points, and can control up to six channels (individually or ganged up). Names of video clips can be up to 32 characters long, so even nontechnical staff can quickly find and recall them. The 4040CL also provides the ability to loop one or more clips, and create subclips.
Broadcast Meditel S.A., a major broadcast equipment dealer in Spain, installed the controller at TVG. It supports the Grass Valley protocol, allowing easy clip cueing and seamless integration with TVG's existing equipment. The integration of the new DNF equipment has simplified the production crew's job by streamlining broadcast operations, and it has done this without the cost of additional interfacing equipment or upgrades.
