Axcera to provide solutions for Crown Castle’s mobile video service

Axcera recently entered into an agreement with Crown Castle Mobile Media to provide DVB-H transmission packages – equipment, integration and support – for the company’s initial deployments of its DVB-H based mobile video service.

Axcera will provide equipment packages, including satellite dishes and receivers, DVB-H transmitters and climate-controlled outdoor enclosures. Axcera will also provide integration services including factory system testing and FCC type acceptance, staging, installation and commissioning, as well as ongoing technical support for each cell site.

To fulfill Crown Castle Mobile Media's requirements, Axcera designed a line of L-band transmitters based on its Innovator LX low power television transmitters. The new product line is available in power levels ranging from 50W to 400W in single and diversity configurations.
