At NAB2005, Barco demonstrated new display solutions that include the OverView fDR+70-DL front accessible rear-projection system, an enhanced iPresent backdrop solution with the Encore show controller, and a distributed version of the iStudio monitoring solution.
OverView fDR+70-DL is a front-accessible rear-projection system with high-contrast DLP technology and SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050). A built-in second lamp is intended to improve reliability.
The iPresent backdrop solution – consisting of specifically adapted rear-projection modules combined with an Encore show controller – is capable of showing multiple video and graphical windows with smooth transitions from one display wall layout into another.
iStudio allows distribution of sources on multiple screens. It has a display with rear-screen projection, a graphic controller, and Web-based operating software. One projection module is capable of simultaneously displaying multiple analog and digital video, embedded audio and computer images. Two or more modules can be combined into a display wall to monitor hundreds of signals.
