BenQ shows 42in LCD monitor

BenQ introduced the first model in its new Prestige Line of LCD TVs at the 2006 CES in Las Vegas. The 42in PL4271 is HDTV-compatible (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) with native 1920 x 1080 resolution. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, and provides a 1000:1 contrast ratio with an 8ms response time.

Other features include the company’s Senseye digital-enhancement technology that automatically adjusts brightness and darkness levels, performs color-mapping procedures, and reduces jagged edges on images. The PL4271 uses motion adaptive de-interlacing, which processes each pixel independently. The monitor also incorporates D2Audio's digital amplifier.
