The Bonalba Golf Course, located close to the Mediterranean Sea in Mutxamel, Spain, is rolling out a new signage network to reach the more than 60,000 golfers who visit the course annually. Using the Scala InfoChannel platform, ASVideo will deploy and manage the network, creating content, controlling scheduling, maintaining hardware and software, and administering the system for the golf course.
The Bonalba Golf Channel plays on 42in NEC plasma screens and a projector in the Club House. The screens are placed at the high-traffic areas of the facility including the main entrance, the bar, the restaurant and the pro shop.
ASVideo has developed a script that includes Golf Canal Plus content via satellite, as well as advertising, Bonalba Golf information and news through a RSS feed. Linkage to an external database also provides golfer’s tee times.
Several additional channels at other Spanish courses are planned for this year.
