Broadcast Pix brings new clip import software to NAB2006

Broadcast Pix went to NAB2006 with a new Clip Import software product that enables MPEG, DV and other compressed clips to be converted for use by the uncompressed clip stores inside the Broadcast Pix switcher.

The switchers have integrated graphic systems, clip stores and camera control, which enable a solo operator to create live video.

The stores hold up to four hours of clips and animations with key and audio. Clip names automatically appear on displays built into the buttons on the switcher’s control panel. Clips can be set to start to play on transition to air. The new Clip Import software can be used on the Broadcast Pix system’s workstation or on another XP workstation.
